Slack went down recently, creating an explosion of comments on Twitter regarding workplace productivity – HR Dive.
Some employees highlighted the breaking down of a digital workspace as a temporary blessing, just to get away from the constant pestering notifications.

Employees Overwhelmed by Workplace Notifications

In a Nov 2021 survey as reported by HR Dive; 54% of workers and 63% of managers stated that they feel overwhelmed by the frequency of work-related notifications since March of 2020.

The article also highlighted the importance of engaging employees when calling them back to work, as voluntary quit rates were still relatively high in December 2021; although reduced compared to November.
